Brief instructions on usage of the fee timer server program This is a brief intro into the usage of the fee timer server program. It gives a general overview of the various commands that can be issued by the server program to the client program. Commands can be issued from the client table screen of the server program. The start command will start a particular client by sending timer options and values to it. A new available client can also be automatically found by clicking the new customer radio button on the main server form. In both cases a timer settings form will be presented to the server administrator which allows him to set timer options and values for a particular client. The start command also resets the elapsed and prepaid time count from when the timer was last stopped using the stop command.Once a client is started seven commands are available. These are: suspend, resume, stop, stop and quit, logoff, shutdown, reboot The suspend command pauses the timer and puts up a splash screen on the client computer as well as blocking further input access to the client computer. Once suspended, timer execution can be resumed with the resume command or totally stopped with the stop command The resume command clears the splash screen from the client machine and resumes client timer counting provided that the client timer has not counted down to zero. A stopped timer cannot be resumed, but must be restarted via the start command The stop command is issued to totally stop the timer client program. The splash screen is pulled off and normal client access and input is allowed. Once the timer client is stopped is cannot be resumed another start command with new timer options and values must be issued to get the timer started again. The stop and quit command issues a stop command and ends the fee timer client program on the client machine. The logoff command issues a suspend command and logs off the client machine The shutdown command issues a shutdown command and shuts down the client machine The reboot command issues a reboot command and reboots the client machine Sitemap |
